Why I Keep Showing Up (Even When It’s Hard)

I recently showed up for a HYROX class, hoping it’d feel easier this time.

It didn’t.

From the first burpee jumps, my legs were shaking, and I wanted to stop. I caught myself asking:

Why do I do this?
Shouldn’t it be easier by now?
Is this even working?

Still, I completed each station with the best I had to give that day. I kept pace with my workout partner. And even though it didn’t feel easy, I showed up anyway.

Because that’s where growth happens. Effort matters more than ease. Showing up sends a message to myself: I’m still in the game. I’m still here. I still want to improve.
